Salons that proactively display their hygiene certificates on their WhoIsAtTop profile score 0.8 stars higher on average.

The highest-rated spas are not necessarily the most expensive. The worst-reviewed spas, regardless of price point, share one trait: staff who recommend add-ons within the first five minutes of arrival.
How to pick a salon you'll trust
Check for responses to negative reviews — a business that acknowledges a bad experience and explains what changed is far safer than one with 50 unresponded 1-star reviews. Also filter for reviews mentioning your specific service; a salon with excellent facial reviews may have weak hair-colouring skills.
