We analyzed over 50,000 verified customer reviews to rank the best banking apps for mobile experience, fees, interest rates, and customer support.

We analyzed more than 50,000 verified customer reviews submitted to WhoIsAtTop over the past 12 months to rank the best banking apps available today. Our ranking weighs four key factors: mobile app experience, fee transparency, interest rates, and customer support quality.

How we ranked them

Each bank was scored across four dimensions: app UX (based on ease-of-use mentions in reviews), fees (mentions of unexpected charges or fee transparency), interest rates (savings rate mentions), and support (response time and resolution mentions). Only banks with 500+ verified reviews were included.

#1 โ€” Revolut (4.7โ˜… โ€” 12,400 reviews)

Revolut topped our rankings for the third year running. Customers consistently praise the real-time spending notifications, zero forex fees, and the ability to hold 30+ currencies. The main complaints center on customer support wait times during peak hours.

"I travel 3 months a year and Revolut has saved me hundreds in foreign transaction fees. The app is genuinely the best I've used." โ€” Verified WhoIsAtTop Review

#2 โ€” Monzo (4.6โ˜… โ€” 9,800 reviews)

Monzo scores highest for customer support โ€” reviewers frequently mention getting responses within minutes via in-app chat. The "pots" budgeting feature is the most praised, while US availability remains a limiting factor for international customers.

#3 โ€” Wise (4.5โ˜… โ€” 8,200 reviews)

Wise wins for international transfers โ€” reviewers consistently highlight its mid-market exchange rates and transparent fee breakdowns. For anyone sending money abroad regularly, Wise is the top-ranked choice according to our data.

What customers care most about

Across all 50,000 reviews analyzed, the most frequently mentioned positive attributes were: fast account setup (mentioned in 34% of positive reviews), no hidden fees (28%), and intuitive app design (22%). The most common complaints were: customer support delays (41% of negative reviews), account freezes (19%), and confusing fee structures (17%).
